I think one of the greatest inventions has been the Go-Pro. One can actually experience something without actually being there or physically doing it. Just the other day I was able to experience what it’s like to surf and ride along under the wave as it comes over the surfer or through the tunnel if you will. I loved this as I’ve always wondered what it would be like but too chicken to even try keeping my balance on a surfboard on relatively calm seas. Maybe if I was 20 years younger……
After this surfing ‘participation’ I started thinking about my business and whether or not I was giving my clients the Go-Pro experience. Yes, I’ve thought of actually videotaping myself putting together a basket from start to finish and sharing how it’s done as well as videotaping my work space and where my office is where I meet my clients etc. This will open a whole new perspective of who I am, what I do and where it is that it’s done to others, but this would be the authentic Go-Pro experience.
What I have been able to accomplish most of the time is the experience of listening to what the client wishes for, when to deliver the basket, taking a photo of basket and emailing or texting to client and then informing when the basket was delivered. I know when I’m ordering something online I love seeing it’s progress form order to estimated delivery time. So I figure I’m giving an indirect Go-Pro sense in the customer’s visual mind.
Stay tuned though, as I do intend to start taping myself making baskets and showing different things about my business. I’ll eventually have a Q&A session for my current customers and future ones.
